Mike Gazza
Hospital Director
Mike Gazza serves as the Hospital Director for the PESC, overseeing many aspects of the day-to-day operations of the practice. Mike received a B.S. in Industrial Management from the Oregon Institute of Technology in 1992. As he had more than four years of experience as a technician in the veterinary field, he elected to combine his interests by pursuing a career in veterinary practice management. Mike joined the PESC in 1997. He is committed to providing excellent service to our referring veterinarians, clients, and patients.

Carol Gaffney, RVT
Client Relations Director
Carol Gaffney graduated from the Mesa College RVT program in 1992. Utilizing her extensive prior experience in the business world, Carol’s areas of primary interest are in client service and teaching. Carol joined the PESC in 1993 and now acts as Client Relations Director, in addition to teaching at Mesa College. Her goal is to ensure that each and every client visiting the PESC has a positive experience. She is also committed to maintaining excellent communication with our referring veterinarians.


 
  Stephanie Leone, RVT
Emergency Service Manager
Stephanie Leone graduated with a B.S. in Animal Science from the University of Delaware in 1999. A native of the east coast, Stephanie moved to San Diego in 2000 and attended Mesa College's RVT program. After graduation, she joined the PESC as a technician on the emergency service. For the past two years, Stephanie has managed the emergency service, assuring that all aspects of the emergency department run smoothly while providing excellent client service and compassionate patient care.

Janice Speta, RVT
Specialty Services Manager
Janice Speta graduated with a B.A. in Sociology/Social Work from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh in 1976, and a M.Ed in Education in 1977 from Springfield College in Massachusetts. A native of New York City, Janice moved to San Diego in 1994 and attended Mesa College's RVT program. After graduation, she began as a technician on the emergency service where she became a Lead Technician. After 5 1/2 years, Janice took over as Lead Technician of the internal medicine service where she also supervised the oncology service. For the past two years, Janice has managed all the specialty services (internal medicine, oncology, and surgery) and daytime emergency.
